My Birthday!

The 3rd March was my 25th birthday! I had the most amazing day. I am a huge believer in celebrating birthdays. As people get older, they tend not to be that bothered about them, but I think you should be! It is a day dedicated to you!

I knew Greg had been plotting something, but I had no idea what. I deliberately didn't ask - although Greg would never ruin the surprise, it bugs me that I don't know!!

On the day before my birthday, I had a case packed and was told that the earlier we leave, the better! I was very excited.

It was such a lovely day!

At about 11am, we set off. Greg then announced that it would take about 4 hours to get there! I was just excited to be getting away with him. We used to aimlessly drive around for hours with no real destination, so it was nice to have one (even though I had no idea what it was)!

I started sign watching - all I got was that we were heading up North - very exciting as I have never really been up north before.

I did get nervous when I saw signs for an airport as I only had the two days off work!

Luckily, we weren't flying anywhere. We arrived in Manchester at about 4pm and checked into the Copthorne Hotel. We were right in the middle of everything! The view from our window was amazing.

Just a walking distance away from some outlet stores - and I found a Cadbury's outlet and the diet well and truly went out of the window!

We then went for a lovely Mexican meal - I had the best burrito ever!

On my birthday, after breakfast - we went shopping! First, we went to the Arndale Centre and I had my first Bubble Tea experience - I seriously spent the whole day wanting to go back! It was the best thing ever and there is nothing like that where I live. Very envious!

Mooboo - please come to Basingstoke!

Greg definitely didn't know what to make of it. It is such a weird experience - but the best thing in the world!

Then we went to the Trafford Centre - it was amazing - sooooo giant!

I got a freebie in L'Occitaine for filling out a survey - I was chuffed!!

On the way home, we did get a light on the dashboard of Greg's brand new car saying we had a flat tyre.. We didn't but the car thought we did. Very annoying because we started stopping at every services to make sure the tyres weren't flat! I was nervous because it was very cold outside and I did not want to be stuck on the motorway on my birthday!

Overall - amazing trip - I love Manchester. Part of me wanted to move there! It was just so incredible.
