Apple Pies - The Pretty Way!

Cooking with my mum!

It never goes to plan. We either get side tracked and never remember to finish what we were doing, or we end up eating the ingredients!

Well, this time, we just ate the end result and man! They were good!!

We got together to make these gorgeous Rose Apple Pies

You will need:
one apple
a tablespoon of butter
shop bought puff pastry (you can make your own if you prefer!)
jam (you choose your favourite!)

First steps! Finely chop an apple like below. Pop all the slices in a bowl and pop the table spoon of butter on top. Microwave for 1 minute - if the apple and butter have not combined, do it for another minute.

They should like like this!

Next, get your pastry. It should be at room temperature. Slice into six.

Like this:

Next, get your jam of choice! We used ginger and rhubarb. YUM! Cover the whole thing in a thin layer - like this

Layer the apples along each strip - like this.

Fold the pastry over the apple and roll it up!

Repeat for all six and pop them in a muffin tin. Your batch should look like this!

Bake for 30 minutes on high (gas mark 6, 200 degrees c or 400 degrees f). Keep an eye on them - you don't want them to burn!

Tadaaaaaa!!!

The result! We ate them with ice cream :)
