New Addition?

Tuesday, 5 May 2015

For a while, our friends have been longing for a pet - it made us want one too! A couple of days ago, we all settled on wanting a tortoise!

They are so adorable and low maintenance. I also love the idea that they potentially would outlive me and my children and grandchildren would get to hang out with them!

We went to hunt one out last weekend but we had no luck.. This weekend, we went to a new place and found our Tortoise Children!!

Firstly, we had to buy their homes and all the things that go along with that, and set it up! We both bought the kit and sped home so we could set up and go back and get our babies!

Greg said that it was like putting a cot together! Haha - good practice!

Here is Rex (on the left) and our friends new addition Del Boy (on the right)!

They are Horsfield Tortoises - they can grow up to 20cm and they are adorable!

As soon as we got him home, we gave him a bath - he loved it!

This is his little house - he is still exploring it!

Please expect LOTS of pictures of Rex - and keep an eye out for Del Boy, as they will be having lots of play dates!

  1. They're so cute, and it's so fun to have a new pet! I remember getting a hamster in one of my first apartments, and of course it escaped! I think you'll be ok with tortoises though :)
